Clearing the aura

I've been shown a number of ways of clearing the aura, prior to starting a reiki treatment or as a stand alone exercise.  One of the methods that I like using involves using a fairly chubby single terminated quartz crystal.

I start the session as I would normally, this involves grounding - imagine roots coming down through the bottom of my feet and into the ground, I affirm 'I am grounded'

Then I centre, I just breathe consciously and into my naval area imagining a beautiful sun shining and affirm ' I am centred'.

I place my hand gently on the wrist of the client and connect saying a short prayer to ask for guidance and give thanks.

Starting at the left of the client, at the feet, move the quartz crystal in a circular anti-clockwise motion feeling the energy as you go.

It's similar to the procedure for scanning a body with your hands.  You're moving the crystal and at the same time feeling for energy sensations that indicate the need for extra clearance or healing.  If you sense that the energy is dense, heavy or out of cilter then stay in that area moving the crystal in the anti-clockwise direction until you feel it's ok to move on.  continue with this procedure up the left side of the body and the left arm until you reach the head and crown.  Continue the process down the right side of the body.

Once you reach the right foot you will need to grasp the crystal in both hands and blow through the base of the crystal affirming that the crystal is free of all energy that is no longer required.

Starting from the left foot again, repeat the exercise this time by turning the quartz crystal in a circular Clockwise direction.  When you move the crystal you should now notice the aura feeling lighter and healthier.

When you've finished the exercise you can start the Reiki treatment as normal, or you can simply touch the clients wrist to let them know that you've finished.

Place your crystal in a bowl of sea salt to cleanse.

Love and Reiki blessings
