As I look out on the blazing sunshine, I can't help but take a deep breath of appreciation. There's a sense of Autumnal crispness in the air, strands of spiders silver threads and pearl like dew are strewn about the garden dancing on the casual breeze. It excites me, the day's just introduced itself and there's an expectation.
I am truly blessed, as I look out of my window, I see the river right there before me reaching out with its flexible fingers of exploration, out into the countryside making its way deep into the parts where natures free to play without human intervention. It's all scrumptious and it makes my heart sing.
My in breath reaches deep inside me, just as Reiki does when we work together. They both work to nourish my cells and rejuvenate my being. Breath and Reiki flowing in unison to produce a wonderful source of vitality.
Every day as we walk this generous earth we inhale about 20, 000 breaths. In one lifetime it's possible that we breathe about 65 million breaths. As long as we keep breathing, we stay alive.
I wonder often where my breath goes. Where does it journey to? as it lifts on up, into the fresh morning air and I watch it change to a misty condensation, I can see it travelling off on the breeze or lifting upwards like a waft of smoke alighting on a sky full of adventure. Where does it go?
Dear breath, do you Join the clouds, travel on the wind and lift high up over mountain ranges, turning into snow and ice?
Do you get recycled and inhaled by animals, humans, my neighbour, my friends, Souls from all over the world?
Do you join the air to create the perfect conditions for the birds in flight above us?
Will you stroke the cheek of children as you dance the Summer air?
Would you set the rustling sails in motion as ships and boats alight the ocean?
Are you waiting to play with the falling red and fiery coloured leaves as Autumn strips the trees?
