Turn the tables

You might have noticed that posts to this blog are a little sporadic to say the least!

I have to be honest, I've found writing for both the blog and the Reiki News and Views newsletter increasingly difficult. All is change, transformation and movement at present. So much so that once a word, or a thought is written it immediately forces me to re-evalutate, change my mind and pronounce it out of date instantaneously!

My ideas and views jump about and morph into other creations, darting to alternative destinations within my head - leaving it spinning to be frank. Therefore, I've decided to just flow with the process of life and wait, once I hear the call to write, or to move the blog and newsletter forward, when I sense the moment is right to progress with it you'll know - just bare with me for the now!

At this moment, I would like to share with you a recent chat with my thought committee (my new term for the internal chatterings of the mind). Reiki constantly waters the seeds of growth, in and around me. It gently soothes me when I'm fraught and rains down light to help me sparkle when things seem stubbornly grey. During the past month Reiki has prompted me to look at it from a different angle.

Reiki - something we offer to others? something that we practice on ourselves enableing us to grow, expand and develop the spiritual aspects of ourselves? all that and more. Reiki is an energy that is all intelligent, loving and light. When you work with Reiki next, instead of holding the intention for whatever purpose you intended to work with it, stop, quieten the mind and rest in Reiki's energy. Ask 'What can I do for Reiki?'

Breathe in and out in the moment. Don't expect anything, don't listen for anything, don't try and feel anything, just be in that moment with Reiki.

Turn the tables just now, focus on knowing reiki, intimitely. Don't force an answer. Yes it could take weeks but it's worth the wait as you have given over your time to genuinely relate to and form a active relationship with Reiki energy. When the moment is right Reiki will guide you, it's a process of trust and acknowledging the commitment you have with it. Seize the opportunity now, for this moment in time to look more deeply into Reiki. Where would the Reiki path take you if you opened up truly to its intelligence.

Remember, no two people experience Reiki in the same way and therefore you need to break away, be brave, walk forward into the Reiki experience and ask it what it would like you to do for it.
